Loop Engineering was honored to be part of a historic project for the Royal Albert Hall — the construction of a dedicated Archive Store and Office space that will house over a century of invaluable treasures. This transformative endeavor not only aims to preserve the Hall's rich history but also opens its doors to the public, inviting them to explore the legacy within.
Scope of Work:
Dedicated Archive Store:
Designing and constructing a purpose-built Archive Store equipped with cutting-edge preservation measures to safeguard the Royal Albert Hall's extensive collection spanning more than 100 years.
Creating a functional and modern office space integrated seamlessly with the Archive Store to facilitate efficient management and administration of archival materials.
Full Mechanical Installation:
Implementing a comprehensive mechanical installation to ensure optimal environmental conditions within the Archive Store. This includes the integration of humidifiers to control moisture levels, Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, and fan coils for precise temperature regulation.
Full Electrical Installation:
Executing a thorough electrical installation covering new lighting fixtures, small power outlets, and fire alarms throughout the Archive Store and Office space.
Designing the Archive Store with a focus on public access, allowing visitors to explore and appreciate the treasures held within the Royal Albert Hall's archives.
