LEISURE & CULTURERoyal Albert Hall Porch Lighting
The Royal Albert Hall is over 150 years old and one of the best known and historied venues in London. As part of role as MEP consultants to the Royal Albert Hall, Loop Engineering were tasked with providing new lighting to the niches on the North and South Porches, to illuminate newly commissioned statues.
With the Building being Grade 1 listed, all elements of the design need to be carefully considered and are subject to Listed Building consents. With the client and the Heritage consultants, we developed low-impact servicing solutions to get cabling and controls to the statue locations. We worked closely with the appointed Lighting Designer (EQ2) to develop the optimal lighting solution including Fill and Key lighting solutions.
