Loop Engineering undertook the detailed design of the Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Acoustic, Fire Engineering and Vertical transportation duties for the National Union of Students’ new London office in Grays Inn Road. This project entailed the complete Cat A & B fitout of Basement, Ground to 4th floors.
NUS had ambitious sustainability objectives and we liaised very closely with their Sustainability champions to implement modern, proven technologies in a compact office floor plate.
The project was a BREEAM Excellent and included solar hot water, a PV array, voltage optimisation, power factor correction, smart metering, Front of house energy displays, rain water harvesting along with high efficiency MEP systems.
